Again, inspired by the great photographer, Alma Haser, and set to one of my my favourite songs.

This was taken against the backdrop of the full moon at about 4.30 am - see what happens as the sun slowly begins to rise beyond the horizon.

A wonderful song to dance to - it reminds me of the times, the many times, when I dreamt of a life with no stress and when I would have the time to indulge all my passions. A dream come true.

My love can't wait

This was another follow up to the shoot with Alma Haser, using the three origami boats she left behind as presents for me, Jane and our daughter, Florence.  I had already experimented a bit with the boats and, as usual, I have rushed it a bit but I was able to enlist the help of Jane, who photographed the section with just me in, and Florence who photographed the section with us both in. It was very difficult trying to direct it from the ground without moving but they both did very well and I am quite pleased with the result.

I showed it to my niece Olivia, whom  I love and respect in equal measure, and she said, very kindly, that she loved it and that the boats are like "creatures or benevolent imps. It's like you're showing us all the unseen capillary-like magical forces that weave playfully and constantly around us". I wish I could think and write  like that but she's right - that is exactly what they are.

This is one of my "Zorro" films of which there are many. They are very much a trip back into the puerile idiocy of my childhood but, hey, who gives a fuck?

There are many, many more on You Tube if you are interested.......

This is the title to the first of my Zorro films. It is the sort of thing I used to do when I was thirteen. Then O Levels, A Levels, a Law degree, Professional exams, Articles of Clerkship and a full blown career as a solicitor took over until I was forced to retire with Parkinson's Disease in 2006. Now I have returned to what I was doing when I was thirteen before I was rudely interrupted by adulthood.

Unfortunately,  I have not retained copies of all my silly Zorro films on my computer but they can still be viewed on You Tube and below is the link to the first........of many.

This was inspired by Alma Haser, a very talented and innovative photographer and by the work of Emma-Jayne Lee.

We're the only ones left

One day, many years ago, I took my son Tom (then aged 10) to the old Odeon cinema in Guildford to watch "The Rocketeer", a wonderful adventure film starring Bill Campbell, Jennifer Connelly, Timothy Dalton and Alan Arkin.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the film and, as usual, at the end, we sat and watched the credits. Tom was sitting forward in his seat with his elbows on his knees and, as the credits came to an end, he turned and looked back behind him and said "Daddy, we're the only ones left...."
